Country Pop 
Country pop is a sub-genre of country music which first came around in the 1970's, the country pop genre is likely to cross over to adult contemporary. Country pop was known as 'The Nashville Sound' this was because it was founded in Nashville, Tennessee. The origins of Country Pop are country and western more specifically countrypolitan, pop and soft rock.
 Instruments:

Most country songs have the infamous 'twangy' sound to their songs and the instruments that play a part in the songs are, banjos, fiddles, steel guitars and string basses.


Subject Matter:

Cheatin', drinkin', redemption, murder, jail, mama, love and loss are just some of the more common themes used in typical country pop music.
